POI (Point of Interest) with the DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus using Litchi App:
What is Point of Interest?
In the Point of Interest (POI) mode, the aircraft will circle around of point on the map at a preset altitude, distance and speed.
How to start the Point of Interest mode?
Switch to Point of Interest mode using the top left mode button, ensure the flying area is clear then click anywhere on the map to bring up the POI settings window. After choosing the POI parameters, tap on the “Start” button to have the aircraft automatically take off (if it’s not already flying) and start circling around the point. Setting a low altitude in POI mode is not recommended as the aircraft’s altitude reading is not always accurate.
What is the effect of the Entry Point setting?
The entry point is the point on the circle where the aircraft will start circling. Please note that the map is orientated towards North by default. When starting POI, the aircraft will first fly to the entry point. It is important to make sure there are no obstacles between the entry point and the initial position of the aircraft. P2 Only: By default, the aircraft will first rise to the preset altitude, then move on to the entry point. If “Ascend first” is turned off, the aircraft will not initialize its altitude and will go directly to the entry point.
How do I stop POI once started?
There are two ways to stop POI:
- Tap the stop button located in the left bar
- Flip the S1 switch to the middle position (ATTI) on your controller
Can I do a panorama with the POI mode?
Yes, setting the radius to 0 meters will have the aircraft execute a panorama regardless of the selected heading mode.
