Mavic Pro vs Phantom 4

Mavic Pro vs Phantom 4

One of the major differences between the camera of the Mavic Pro and the Phantom 4, besides the size, is the field of view (FOV).

On the Phantom 4 it is 94 degrees, 20mm (35mm format equivalent), f/2.8 focus at infinity.

The Mavic Pro has a 78 degrees FOV, 28mm (35mm format equivalent), f/2.2 TV distortion <1.5% from 0.5m to infinity.

What’s the difference? I captured an image from each from the very same position, trying to keep the light pole in the center. Please note that this test was only to show the difference in FOV and not picture quality or proper image settings.
